I have never heard of the genre Chipstep until its recent genre slot on the Audio Portal. From what I can imagine, it is essentially a hybrid between 8-bit (video game) music and dubstep or more broadly any other style of EDM. I think this genre was created so that various genres (including the video game genre) in the Electronic section of the audio portal would not be filled with this type of music, since it is distinct in its own right.

DESHIEL responds:

so to do chipstep i must be like 8-british? :D

This is pure excellence. All the elements flow nicely throughout the piece. I cannot wait until I hear the finished product.

DESHIEL responds:

I'm glad that you like this, because this baby is a result of all my experience gained from you and the other people that I had the honor to work with :)

This remix is pretty legit; both versions sound awesome, however I am a bit partial to Deshiel's darker more trancey style. Great background pattern at 2:12, that made the song for me.

DESHIEL responds:

Thanks Bacon ;)

HIGH5!!!!!!!! BOLLOX TO ZERO BOMBERS. Zero-bombing does nothing to improve your self-esteem, just vote 5 for the ones you really like and call it a day.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've listened to the original version of this, DJ Manian is just a boss. Nevertheless, this is a nice mini-remix you got here; I would certainly want to hear you expand on this if you plan to do so. Great work :D!

yeaaa
Manian is perfect :D
Tahnks you!

Now that's a melody! Perhaps a remix ?!?! ;)

DESHIEL responds:

Yeah, we gotta beat new powers in popularity :D

Overall good. I'm digging the bassline the most. My only criticism is that the opening lead synth is a bit too harsh and buzzy, I would recommend something with a little less edge.

Thanks for the comment and criticism! :D

I liked this and found it quite humorous with such lyrics as "kamikaze boom boom boom". From experience I can understand that after watching a bunch of anime the music starts getting stuck in one's head. The synth solos were pretty creative, however I would choose a synth with a little less glide so that the successive notes are more articulated. The vocals were okay (I can't sing for shit so don't feel bad), but I would suggest raising the pitch of them which will add to the "kawaiisuperhappyfuntime" feel you intended for the song. Also, I would add a bridge somewhere in the song just to lessen the repetition of the verse-chorus form in the song. Overall, good work. Please send me the vocal track to this if you have a chance, I may want to have a crack at remixing this song.

lolz

I know how you feel man. Dubstep is in high demand these days. I had to include a crappy wub-bass breakdown in one of my songs so at least I can get some respect. Everything sounds good to me. Good luck on your other musical endevours.

YES!

This was exactly what I was looking for. Nice melody, cutoff filtre build up, variations on the melody to keep interest, good transitory effects. This kind of music is what gets me pumped. Overall great work!
